This blog is a living record of my career in networking. What started as a place to save notes and troubleshooting steps has grown alongside me through technical school, certification studies, homelabbing, college, and now professional network support.

I currently work as a Network Support Specialist at NEOnet, where I support network and voice systems. I am also a graduate of Western Governors University’s B.S. in Information Technology program. The subjects I write about have changed as my career has developed, but the purpose of the site has remained the same: to document what I am learning while the experience is still fresh.

Who This Site Is For

This site is for students, technicians, homelabbers, and anyone else learning how networks operate outside of a textbook.

Some posts are detailed lab writeups, while others are career updates, troubleshooting notes, or reflections on a project that taught me something useful. I try to explain technical subjects practically without pretending every problem has a clean answer.

Even if you are beyond the CCNA level, you may still find value in seeing how networking concepts connect with real equipment, infrastructure services, and voice systems.

The posts follow the path of my education, work, and technical interests. That currently includes:

Some of the older posts focus heavily on capture-the-flag exercises, offensive security, and my early interest in cybersecurity. I am keeping those posts because they are still part of my journey and helped me learn how to inspect traffic, question assumptions, and understand how systems fail.

My current focus is broader. I am learning how to support reliable networks and voice systems, troubleshoot them from end to end, and better understand the infrastructure that carries communication.

Why I Built This

There is a lot of technical content online that either oversimplifies the work or makes it sound more intimidating than it needs to be. My goal is to keep this site honest, useful, and grounded in what I have actually studied, built, or encountered.

I am not writing as someone who has mastered every subject covered here. This blog documents the process of connecting education, certifications, homelabbing, and professional experience as I continue growing in the field.
